Cotton shrinks because of the tension that is applied to its yarn and fabrics during the construction of the clothing. This is why most cotton clothing will shrink during its first washing. The best way to avoid shrinkage is to wash them by hand or to use cold water and the delicate cycle of your washing machine.

Item is using rich dyes, dark-coloured items may experience slight colour bleeding during the first few washes. To help set the dye and minimise bleeding, it is recommended to soak the item in cold water with a splash of mild detergent or vinegar before the first wash. Always separate light and dark colours, and use cold water to help prevent colour bleeding when using a washing machine.

  1. Always turn graphic garments inside out before washing or drying
  2. Use cold water to prevent the print from cracking or peeling
  3. Machine setting: Use a gentle or normal cycle with cold water
  4. Use mild detergents: choose a detergent labeled for colour care or gentle wash
  5. Avoid fabric softener: softener can leave a residue on the print that makes it feel sticky or degrade over time
  6. Reshape while damp
  7. Do not tumble dry
  8. Warm iron if needed
  9. Hang to dry
  10. Wash before use
  11. Wash dark and light colors separately
  12. Do not soak
